Tesla FSD approved in Croatia — 8th EU country to clear it

Tesla's FSD (Supervised) has been approved in Croatia, making it the eighth European country to clear the system — coming just days after the EU-wide approval vote slipped from October to at least the end of the year, showing country-by-country rollout continuing even as the bloc-wide decision stalls.

Croatia's State Office for Metrology (DZM), which handles vehicle homologation, confirmed on September 28 that Tesla's FSD (Supervised) had been officially approved, Reuters reported — the eighth European country to do so.

The Netherlands was first, approving FSD on April 10, followed by Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark and Belgium, then Slovenia on September 7 and Czechia on September 21, with Croatia now eighth.

The approval lands just days after news that the EU-wide vote — which needs support from at least 15 of the bloc's 27 member states representing 65% of its population — has slipped from its planned October 6 date to at least the end of the year. Sweden has pushed back over FSD's handling of posted speed limits, and France has raised similar concerns.

The upshot: the bloc-wide approval remains stuck behind a political threshold, but individual member states keep clearing FSD on their own timelines regardless.
