Tesla's Europe registrations track their lowest Q3 pace on record

With a month left in Q3, Tesla's cumulative European registrations are tracking their lowest pace since reliable monitoring began — France and Denmark surged while Norway and Spain plunged, clouding the recovery narrative that began earlier this year.

Tesla's European sales, which had declined for two straight years before rebounding early this year, are again showing signs of strain heading into the back half of Q3.

July registrations jumped 86% year-over-year in France and 52% in Denmark. Norway, by contrast, fell 97.1% to just 24 units, and Spain dropped 81.3% to 131 units — a stark country-by-country divide. With a month of Q3 still to go, Tesla's cumulative European registrations are tracking their lowest pace since monitoring began.

Tesla typically engineers a late-quarter delivery push, but analysts note the hole it needs to climb out of this quarter is unusually deep.

Europe is one of Tesla's core markets, and the trend could weigh directly on the company's Q3 delivery report. Final August data for large markets like the UK and Germany hasn't been tallied yet, so this should be read as a preliminary trend rather than a final figure.
