Ahead of its Sept. 15-20 unveiling at IAA Transportation in Hannover, Tesla has revealed European Semi specs — about 550km of range at a fully loaded 40 tonnes, 800kW Megacharging that recovers roughly 60% of range in 30 minutes, and a curb weight of 9,100kg lighter than the U.S. truck — turning Semi's first overseas market entry into concrete numbers.

Tesla said on Aug. 20 it would reveal European Semi specs and launch details at September's IAA Transportation show in Hannover. Ahead of that Sept. 15-20 event, concrete specs appeared first on Tesla's European sales site, giving the previously teased rollout its first real numbers.

The figures: about 550km of range at a fully loaded 40 tonnes (roughly 1.0 kWh/km of consumption), with 800kW Megacharging that recovers about 60% of range in 30 minutes. Curb weight comes in around 9,100kg (about 20,000 lb) — lighter than the U.S. Long Range truck (about 23,000 lb) and closer to the U.S. Standard Range spec (under 20,000 lb).

By comparison, the U.S. Long Range Semi runs an 822kWh battery for 500 miles (about 805km) of range. The 800kW charging figure is a step down from the 1.2MW Tesla has previously demonstrated — likely reflecting Europe's Megacharger rollout stage rather than a limit of the truck itself.

Price, delivery timing and battery configuration remain undisclosed. For shareholders, Semi's first overseas push has moved from a preview announcement to concrete specs, but converting that into orders from European logistics operators still requires Tesla to disclose pricing and delivery dates.
