Tesla extends Austin robotaxi hours by an hour, adds 111 more Cybercabs
Tesla extended Austin robotaxi service by an hour, now running until 11 p.m., and added 111 more dedicated Cybercabs to the fleet — continuing the rapid buildout that took the Cybercab count from 45 to 169 last month.
According to Not a Tesla App, Tesla extended its Austin robotaxi operating hours by an hour, with rides now available until 11 p.m. instead of the previous 10 p.m. cutoff — a change also reported by TeslaNorth, corroborating the extension.
At the same time, 111 more dedicated Cybercab units were added to the fleet. Registered Cybercabs in Austin had already jumped from 45 at the start of last month to 169 by early this month, so the new additions extend that same growth trajectory.
Tesla is targeting round-the-clock robotaxi service, including overnight hours, as soon as this month, tied to the rollout of FSD v15 on robotaxi vehicles. Reliably detecting and avoiding pets and animals at night remains a key challenge for that expansion.
